Royal Enfield has unveiled official images of its upcoming adventure motorcycles—the Himalayan 750 and the electric Him-E prototype—during rigorous testing in the mountains.

This is the first time the company has publicly shared visuals of the Himalayan 750, confirming its existence and development. While the Him-E appears alongside it, Royal Enfield has clarified that the electric model is currently a developmental platform and not intended for imminent production.

The Himalayan 750 is expected to be powered by a new engine derived from the brand’s existing 650cc parallel-twin motor, which is currently air- and oil-cooled. In its current tune, this engine delivers 47hp and 56.5Nm of torque, though the new adventure model is anticipated to surpass these figures to better suit its off-road and touring credentials.

Design-wise, the Himalayan 750 retains a familiar aesthetic with a half-fairing and round LED headlamp, consistent with Royal Enfield’s current design language. These elements echo the earlier test mules seen abroad and later in India. With these newly released images, the Himalayan 750 now appears closer than ever to an official launch.

The upcoming Himalayan 750 also gets newly designed trapezoidal mirrors, dual front disc brakes, and a 19-inch front / 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheel setup wrapped in dual-purpose tyres. The exhaust system is a single upswept unit with a slightly altered routing compared to the Super Meteor 650. The fuel tank appears significantly larger than that of the Himalayan 450, suggesting extended touring capabilities.

Overall, the Himalayan 750 boasts more robust bodywork and classic ADV styling, giving it a strong presence in the middleweight adventure segment.

The Him-E, although not destined for the showroom anytime soon, showcases Royal Enfield’s electric ambitions. This prototype comes fitted with knobby tyres, a gold-finished USD fork, a petal disc brake up front, and a radial brake master cylinder. While the company has made it clear this model is purely experimental, it reflects their ongoing work toward future electric platforms.

Royal Enfield's decision to test both motorcycles at Khardung La, one of the world’s highest motorable roads at 18,380 feet, underlines their commitment to building rugged, high-altitude-ready machines. With the Himalayan 750 edging closer to production, adventure enthusiasts have plenty to look forward to.
